Santo Estevo
In the heart of the Ribeira Sacra is located the Monastery of Santo Estevo, converted into a Parador after an scrupulously respectful towards tradition architectural intervention. The Romanesque and Gothic styles of the monastery, re-founded in Baroque during the 18th century, can be appreciated. The 4-star Parador has 77 rooms, all of them different from each other. García Requejo was commissioned to light the rooms with lamps, whose details in leather and wood bring to mind the sober and humble atmosphere of the old monastery.
